Christ church, completed in 1753, is one of the earliest remnants of the Dutch occupation in Malacca. Originally white in color, it was painted red in 1911 along with the other Dutch buildings and has been a hallmark color of the buildings located in Malacca.

Built in Dutch Colonial architecture, it is laid out on a rectangular foundation in 25m by 13m. Interesting tombstones and plagues adorn the interior of the church. Written in Armenian, English and Dutch, these interesting artifacts help visualize the daily life of the Dutch during the occupation in Malacca.
